Harrison ford in his best movie ever! - The Fugitive Reviews
FORD: I didn't kill my wife!
LEE JONES: I don't care!
These are the best quotes from The Fugitive, the best film Harrison Ford has ever appeared in, and his second best performance, with his best performance being in 1985's Witness.
You'll probably see more from Tommy Lee Jones in this film though, because this is HIS best role and he won an Oscar for it. Harrison Ford is perfect as Dr. Richard Kimble, a man accused of brutally murdering his wife. But on the bus taking him to Death Roe, a prisoner with a knife hidden in his boot stabs a police officer on the bus, eventually leading the bus to tumble down the hill right in the middle of some train tracks. And sure enough, a train comes by, runs straight into the bus, and crashes. But thankfully, our hero escapes just before the collision, and he escapes before the police and medics get to the scene. But they know that Kimble's still alive, and the Sherrif(Tommy Lee Jones) will stop at nothing to catch him. Soon the hunt leads to a plunge down a sewer waterfall, a chase through a Chicago St. Patricks Day parade, and other surpirses. But Kimble's not gonna keep running. If the police are to stop chasing him, he'll have to lead them to the person who really killed his wife: a one-armed man. This is what makes the movie so powerful.
Alas, I can say no more because I just love this movie. It's one of my top 20 favorites of all time.
Now for those of you who don't like this movie, I'll tell you that you've made Harrison Ford mad. So he's just going to tell you to back off, and he's going to do it by saying his most famous quote from Air Force One. Are you ready?
GET OFF MY PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!
The chase begins - The Fugitive Reviews
Harrison Ford in another great film that has chases, thrills, and excitement all the way through. Ford plays Dr. Richard Kimble, a man who is wrongly convicted of killing his wife and escapes from a prison bus. He tries to find out who the real killer is and why his wife was killed in the first place while trying to avoid U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones). Keeping away from friends and relatives, Kimble now knows that he can't trust anybody until the whole crime is solved and his name goes clear.
Edge of your seat suspense! - The Fugitive Reviews
Inspired by the 1960s television series of the same name, this is certainly your nail biting edge of your seat suspense. Director Andrew Davis accurately set the pace to provide the adrenalin rush to have the audience sweating in excitement. Box office superstar Harrison Ford leads the cast appropriately having the viewer experience his anguish and pain. Whilst Tommy Lee Jones gave an equally deserving Academy Award supporting wining performance on the opposite side to Harrison Ford on screen. U.S. Marshals, a sequel was developed five years later, with a recurring role for Tommy Lee Jones.

Harrison ford is the fugitive - The Fugitive Reviews
The first time I saw this movie I was on the edge of my seat cheering on Harrison Ford's victory and escape. Let's face it, no-one wants to see an inocent victim get framed for something like the murder of their love ones and go down for it. Then with Tommy Lee behind a good action manhunter movie how can it go wrong. Two thumbs up for one of my all time favorites.
A+ movie thriller! - The Fugitive Reviews
This movie is one of the best action packed-thrillers I have seen. With two of the best actors in the biz (Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones), this movie is exciting from the opening scene, till the very last. A must see for any action, suspense, or mystery buff. Two thumbs way up for this Ford masterpeice!
The fugitive?s pick - The Fugitive Reviews

Masterful - The Fugitive Reviews
Harrison Ford has seen his fair share of blockbusters. My god, he's probably made a dozen films that have made $100 million. But this film wasn't like some of his other works. It was simply amazing. This movie wasn't really intended to be a blockbuster, but it was. It was supposed to be filmmaking on a masterful scale. And it succeeded. Very, very good movie. By the way, Tommy Lee Jones deserved the Oscar he received as Best Supporting Actor.
One of harrison's best. - The Fugitive Reviews
This is a movie with Harrison at the top of his career. Of course, it helps to throw in a top notch performance by Tommy Lee Jones as well.
The story is classic. People think you killed someone, you say you didn't, you are convicted anyhow. But, Harrison is albe to escape his confines, and is on the run to prove his innocence.
There is a lot of conflict, and Harrison must figure out a way to find out who might have really done the deed while avoiding the police.
Definitely worth watching.
Best underrated film ever - The Fugitive Reviews
This is a four-star Oscar-worthy film that has all the great ingredients for a great motion picture...and then some. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are excellent in their roles in the film. The unique plot keeps you on the edge of your seat with your fingernails wearing away. Great producing and directing of the film is also clearly there. Overall, this was the best film of 1993, and is in my top 5 for best picture of the 90s.

"i don't care..." - The Fugitive Reviews
This is a movie for people who like movies. Its not deep dialouge, its not spectacular performances by either actor, its just a good flick. The direction of the movie is nice, delievering the story and not overdoing it on the flashbacks. All in all, this movie is a thriller, and although some of the scenes are a tad unbelievible, I still think this is a classic film.
Hitchcock like thriller - The Fugitive Reviews
So much can be said about this great film. It was flawless and kept everyone waiting to see how it ended up. It didn't have outlandish action, it had the kind of action possible in real life. It tells the great story of a man seeking revenge along with trying to prove his innocence to the world. The 2 leads were marvelous and you can watch them for the whole 2 hours and never get bored.
Pretty good, i must say - The Fugitive Reviews
The Fugitive is a movie about a doctor who is on the run from the law after escaping a death sentence for having supposedly killed his wife. At first, I thought I wouldn?t like it because it looked like the Bourne Identity (which I love) but a lot darker. I didn?t want that, I like movies I can enjoy, not movies that scare me to death. Anyway, it ended up being darker than B.I. (Bourne Identity) but not as much I thought it would be. I liked The Fugitive, it was a movie where you didn?t know how exactly it was going to end, but I thought that BI was cooler. BI has coolio fight scenes, and makes you feel more apprehension for the hero. I recommend seeing BI instead of The Fugitive; but if you?d like something a little movie realistic that BI, or if you?ve already seen it, then rent The Fugitive.
PS for some reson the detective in this movie got an academy award.

Pretty good action movie - The Fugitive Reviews
I've never seen a film that a Supporting Actor did so well in and that is Tommy Lee Jones as a U.S. Marshall trying to capture the Fugitive Harrison Ford. This moive had weird or interesting ending and I wish that it not end like that but its a 2 hr movie.
Great purchase - The Fugitive Reviews
Based on the series I watched in black and white as a child it was a good remake or updated version. Starring HARRISON FORD as doctor Kemble convicted for killing his wife whom he consistantly states he is innocent and was framed by a one armed man. The Deputy United States Marshall hunts Dr. Richard Kemble TOMMY LEE JONES) stays on his trail like a close shave.
As the movie unfolds you become more and more intrigued and kept on the edge of your seat. This would be a great purchase to add to your home collection.

One of the all-time great movies of this era... - The Fugitive Reviews
Harrison Ford capivates in one of his best roles to date.A movie that can watched over and over again learning a little more each time. For the old Hardcore Fugitive fans or ones pulled into the franchise through this movie like myself.Tommy Lee and "Ralphie" give good supporting roles including the the ever scary one armed man,he'll give you a few nightmares.
A great thriller!!! - The Fugitive Reviews
The Fugitive is a taut, tense, thriller of a film that delivers in every scene. The action is there but this a definite character driven movie with Harrsion Ford in a superb role and Tommy Lee Jones is incredible. The story is very well told and unfolds perfectly. The Fugitive is a great film to watch and enjoy every time.

I was generaly surprised - The Fugitive Reviews
This is by far the best of Harrison Fords films(The original Star Wars comes in second) and probably the best of 1993. A truly amazing piece of work.
Outstanding film - The Fugitive Reviews
The main reason this movie is so good is because of Tommy Lee Jones in his Oscar winning role. He is so good and funny in most of his scenes that its hard to take ur eyes off him. Harrison Ford also deserves a Nomination for his performence. This is probably his best performence besides Indiana Jones. Also the ending is so amazing because it keeps you guessing who the one armed man is and who is the one who set up Fords wife's murder. It is a major great twist. Bottom line is that you cant miss this film for the life of you.
Ford didn't kill his wife. - The Fugitive Reviews
Jones doesn't care. Or so they say. Jones is the standout in this movie as the obsessed US marshal. This movie could be the high point in both of their careers. The train-bus crash is spectacular, as is the jump from the dam. Towards the end, the story gets to complicated to follow, but its still fun. Followed by a decent sequel, US Marshals. ***1/2(Out of ****)

One of the most amazing scenes ever filmed... - The Fugitive Reviews
...is in this movie.
It is the scene were Harrison Ford is trying to get out of the wrecked bus before the train smashes into it.
He leaps, and then...
You'll just have to see the movie, it's awesome!
Good, no, great - The Fugitive Reviews
I loved watching Harrison Ford running away from the cops for something he did not do (killing his wife). This movie is a great one that will probably become a classic one day, 9.0.

Truly an excellent movie!! - The Fugitive Reviews
I cant really tell what Harrison Ford's best movie really is, but I know that this is one of his best. Its funny, I really dont know why I love this movie so much, but I just do, anyway enough fancy talk - about the movie!
Excellent movie, a true masterpiece, It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the shocking beginning with Kimball's wife being brutally murdered, to the supensful, action-filled ending which reveals who was behind the whole conspiracy, which I'm not going to tell who it is because that will ruin the whole movie for you. The story is very good, very simple with a few twists between scences, but it'll all make perfect sense in the end if you paid attention during the last half hour of the movie. The acting is one of the reasons this movie is so good. Great performances from Harrison Ford and especially Tommy Lee Jones as U.S. Marshall Sam Gerard. I can't really explain his character in one word so i'll write it out, he's arrogant, funny, very bossy and controlling, and yet he plays a great cop when he's in a bad situation. The direction was also very good. I like how Harrison Ford manages to save that little boys life in the middle of the movie, that made the movie a little more touching for some people. I can't say much about the visuals, although the bus/train wreck was awesome and very realistic. And the settings of the movie were good, from forest to tunnels to city lights.
Overall this movie is one of the best in years, it still remains in my top five favorite movies even after seeing great action movies like Spiderman 2 and Van Helsing. Its an action/adventure movie, but it still has lots of suspense and some humorous lines with Tommy Lee Jones. SORRY IF THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN TO LONG,IM ALMOST DONE I PROMISE!
There is one more thing id like to add, sorry to the review board for going against the guidelines but i had to add this in the conclusion. There is a movie with funnyman Leslie Neilsen (the Doctor in airplane and the star of the naked gun series) called WRONGFULLY ACCUSED making fun of mostly The Fugitive and a couple other movies. It an older movie (1996) but its freakin HILARIOUS! Also see The Fugitive if you havent, its a great movie, Honest. I hope my long review was helpful!

Outstanding film!! - The Fugitive Reviews
The best movie of 1993. Harrison Ford plays an escaped convict who was wrongly convicted of killing his wife. Tommy Lee Jones is the US Marshall who pursues him tirelessly. Both Ford and Jones make it happen and make it all very believable. Lots of action. Makes you wonder how many people really are sitting in prisons accused of crimes they did not commit. Worth the rental and a great addition to anyones film collection. An A rating across the board.
Oscar-worthy - The Fugitive Reviews
The Fugitive is easliy Harrison Ford's Best work. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with great acting (Ford, Jones, etc...) action, and a great plot. One of the best movies of the 90's. Go see it. It is a great film.
Instant classic... - The Fugitive Reviews
The Fugitive is an instant classic, unknown director Andrew Davis scores with one of the top (if not the top) thrillers of all-time. The cast is perfectly assembled, Ford and Jones are great as the lead roles.
U.S. Marshals is also a great film, but the Fugitive is slightly better imo.
The manhunter - The Fugitive Reviews
A doctor named Richard Kimble is framed for killing his wife. When Dr. Kimble is wrongly convicted for it, he manages a lucky breakout and escapes. While he tries to find his wife's killer, he must avoid U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard, who will stop at nothing to find him.
Wow, what a movie. This has to be one of the most original movies ever made. I mean, the tagline says it all: A murdered wife. A one-armed man. An obsessed detective. The chase begins. The acting in the movie is great, especially by Jones and Ford. Jones won an Academy Award for his acting in this film. The music is very good and is a memorable score. This isn't your average cat-and-mouse movie.
This movie has it all. Action, thrills, laughs(from Pantoliano), and drama. See ?The Fugitive'. You won't be disappointed. I also recommend: Minority Report, Mission: Impossible, U.S. Marshals, Kiss the Girls, From Hell & Double Jeopardy.
Run,kimble,run! - The Fugitive Reviews
A highly volitile, action packed drama of a medical man accused of a murder he didn't committ and his final exoneration. It was incredible to see the main character's stamina, recourses and determined sensibility in each and every scene of the film and the contrasting vileness of the detective who dogged the suspect at each step of the way.
The fugitive - The Fugitive Reviews
Andrew Davis's "The Fugitive" is a wonderfully entertaining and involving action thriller that deserved its Best Picture nomination at the 1993 Academy Awards. Ford and Jones both shine in two of the best-developed characters ever created in an action picture. It remains a shining light in the genre, and one of the best films of 1993. Thumbs way up!
